Aude Magerus (https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7365-699X) is a senior scientist (CRCE INSERM) at the Immunogenetics of Pediatric Autoimmune Diseases Laboratory. She has 20 years of experience in human immunology. She was a member of the board, and treasurer of the French Immunology society (SFI) and she sits at the scientific committee of the Paris-Cité University. She established the proof of principle of the new concept that autoimmune disease can be the consequence of genetic (germline and/or somatic) defect accumulation in families with incomplete clinical penetrance in ALPS model. She was senior author in a recent article describing the association of germline and somatic mutations of FADD in ALPS patients (Pelle et al JACI 2023). She participated to several studies in the laboratory allowing the identification of genetic defects in pediatric autoimmune diseases (ALPS, Evans syndromes). She now works on Autoimmune Hepatitis and dedicates 50% of her research time and efforts on this project.
